Principal K. Dixon

Mr. K. Dixon

Dear Mendenhall Middle School Community,

It is with great pride, excitement, and humility that I write to you today as the new principal of Mendenhall Middle School. I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to serve this incredible community, and I am eager to partner with you to ensure our students thrive.

Our primary goal at MMS is to create a dynamic learning environment where every student can learn, grow, and be inspired. I believe deeply that the greatest way we can show our students how much we care about them is by holding them to high expectations. Because we believe in them, we expect our students to accept challenges, work hard every day, respect one another, and ultimately exceed academic expectations.

We cannot do this vital work alone. We view our parents and guardians as equal partners in our students' learning journey. While Mendenhall is a large middle school, it is my personal goal to ensure that your family receives the individual attention and support you deserve. To that end, my door is open to you. I am always willing to meet with you by appointment before or after school to discuss your child's success.

This summer, our administrative team is working hard to clearly articulate our school’s belief system and vision. A central theme for this upcoming school year is that everything we do will be a matter of H.E.R.D.  I want every student, parent, and staff member to feel an immense sense of pride in the great things happening here at MMS.

Communication is key to our partnership. I encourage you to explore our school website, which will serve as a vital tool for our community. I will frequently use the site to update school events, share reports, and provide key information.
