Assistant Principal Nikki Garren
Ms. Nikki Garren
Hello, Mendenhall Families! My name is Nikki Garren, and I am honored to return to Mendenhall Middle School as an assistant principal. I previously served as a principal intern here during the 2024–2025 school year while completing my Master’s in School Administration through the NC Principal Fellows Program at Western Carolina University. I then served as an assistant principal at Southern Guilford Middle School (2025–2026), where I further strengthened my commitment to student-centered leadership and continuous school improvement. I am excited to continue supporting the Mendenhall community in this role.
I bring over 13 years of experience in education, primarily teaching fifth-grade science, along with experience as an adjunct professor in the Department of Engineering at Sandhills Community College. I am deeply committed to ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students and believe they thrive when schools, families, and communities work together to create safe, engaging environments.
Outside of school, I enjoy time with my husband, walking my dog Einstein, reading, hiking, and creating art. I am grateful to return to Mendenhall and look forward to continuing our work together to support every student’s success.
